Cute small animals, numbers, words, and funny elements compose a whole universe of cartoon illustrations in the form of patterns that develop around two children's rooms in a beautiful family house in Athens, Greece. We were inspired by the family and their stories to create these illustrations, and we also used educational elements such as numbers, animals, etc.
The drawings were made by hand and then digitally processed and colored in. We used these drawings to design the different types of wallpaper to cover the closets in the bedrooms. Taking a step further, we created clocks for the walls in the form of cartoon characters. These characters also became door signs, one for each room. The clocks material is Plexiglas, formed with laser-cut, painted with matte eco color and additional vinyl stickers on them.
It was a matter of time before the grown-ups wanted in on the action. So we developed the whole concept to the rest of the house and spread the patterns to the kitchen! We picked the colors carefully so that they would blend in harmoniously with the interior design of the space.
